Our Vision and Mission

Four words summarize Concord Community Church’s vision and mission: knowing, loving, serving, and reaching.

  • KNOWING John 4:23-24 (New International Version)

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.

Our teaching and preaching are grounded in Scripture, designed to equip Christ’s followers with the type of knowledge that brings heart-change and cultural transformation.

  • LOVING 1 John 4:7-9 (New International Version)

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

We believe that because of the greatest display of love—God’s sacrificing his son to redeem sinners—we (as redeemed sinners) are forever indebted to love God and to love others. We are to devote ourselves as living sacrifices for the service of love in Christ.

  • SERVING Ephesians 4:11-16 (New International Version)

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

The Church is a dynamic and organic entity; Concord Community is one part of the larger body of Christ. We celebrate the various gifts among our members and acknowledge that each exists in service to one another and for the glory of God.

  • REACHING Matthew 28:19-20 (New International Version)

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Christians are commanded to tell the good news of Jesus Christ. Created for outreach, we are committed to taking the gospel outside the walls of Concord Community Church. We desire to see the nations evangelized so that more people claim Christ as Lord and Savior.

Each ministry at Concord Community Church strives to meet our vision and mission objectives of knowing, loving, serving, and reaching.
