Sunday School Classes

Adults

  • Senior Adult Class

    Team taught by Frank Bostick and Jim Cheatham, this close-knit group of senior adults enjoy a lecture-style biblical lesson each week. They gather in the Fellowship Hall, conveniently located near reserved senior adult parking spaces and directly adjacent to the sanctuary on the first floor of the main ministry building.

  • Open Door

    Taught by John Hill, this class explores the Word of God through a combination of open dialogue, lecture, and video. Located on the second floor of the main ministry building, this class is comprised of a wide age range of adults.

  • Bridge Builders

    Taught by Walter Strickland, the predominantly middle-aged gathering is engaged weekly in lecture and discussion as they study the Bible. The classroom is located on the second floor of the main ministry building.

  • Challengers

    Team taught by Mike Edwards and Bill Schlappi, this late middle-aged gathering meets each week in the sanctuary for both lecture and dialogue.

  • Family Life Builders

    Teacher, Nick Lennon, leads this young adult group in lecture and dialogue as they explore Scripture and discussion. They gather for class meetings on the second floor of the main ministry building.

  • College/Young Adult

    Team teachers, Guy Fain and Ron Duncan, lead this dynamic group of young adults through a highly interactive exploration of the Bible, as they meet each week on the second floor of the main ministry building.

  • Special Needs

    Jill Duncan teaches the Word of God to adults who require a modified curriculum or teaching style, due to developmental disabilities. This class gathers on the second floor of the main ministry building.

Students

  • Junior High - 6th-8th Grade

    Taught by Andrew Hall, this energetic class environment is largely topical and encourages students to discuss practical application to biblical truth. The Junior High classroom is located on the second floor of the main ministry building.

  • Senior High - 9th-12th Grade

    Taught by the Pastor of Adult Ministries, Bob Barnhart, this gathering of young people assembles in the Student Activities Center, adjacent to the main ministry building. The interactive topical class format provides students with an opportunity to dialogue and share real-life application to biblical foundation.

Children

  • Pre-School

    All four pre-school classes and curricula have been custom designed to meet the needs represented by the different stages of a young child’s development. Each class is marked by caring nurturing teachers and safe enriching facilities, located on both floors of the main ministry building.

    1. Little Angels - Newborn- 18 Months
      Team taught by Bev Hill and Leeza Holley

    2. Little Lambs - 18 Months- 3 Years
      Taught by a rotation of numerous lay volunteers

    3. Little Rainbows - 3-4 Years
      Team taught by Sherri Barnhart and Carrie Hays

    4. Pre-K/Kindergarten- 5 Years/Kindergarten

  • Primary

    Each of the primary age Sunday School classes at Concord Community are fun-filled, highly interactive gatherings. A variety of educational tools are utilized, including storytelling, reading, crafts, music, and much more. The classrooms are located on second floor.

    2. 3rd to 5th Grade
      Taught by Brad Turner
