Family Ministry
An important part of the vision of Concord Community Church is to grow strong families. With the all-out attack upon the family in our country today, we believe it is more important than ever for the church to provide support for the family. Our endeavor to support our families targets three areas.
First, we desire to grow strong marriages. Believing that marriage is the foundation of the family, we realize how important the strength of this relationship is for the security of the family members. Classes are offered to teach relational skills, necessary to a satisfying marital relationship. Each February a special emphasis is given to enrich marriages with a weekend retreat and Valentine’s Banquet.
Secondly, we desire to come along side of parents in their awesome and sometimes overwhelming responsibility of raising children. Weekly parenting tips are sent via email to give ongoing support. Classes are offered throughout the year to encourage and teach parenting skills. Current issues and trends are discussed. Counseling is available for families and couples who may be struggling.
Third, we realize that most families have a lot of activities that pull them in many different directions. Our desire is to provide activities that bring the family together, rather than to compete for their time.
