Concord Kidz

Knowing, Loving, Serving, Reaching

At Concord Community Church we value kids! Jesus said, “Let the children come unto me.” Knowing how receptive children are to the good news that Jesus loves them and wants to be the leader of their life, and yet realizing there are many competing values for their little hearts and souls, we take our responsibility to disciple children seriously! Our children’s staff is committed to teaching kids how they can Know Jesus, Love each other, Serve in the church and Reach out to the community. It is our passion and our joy!

Sunday mornings are designated as a time of teaching how to know Jesus. We begin with Sunday School, age-level Bible study groups, which provide a strong foundation in biblical truths. Our gifted and dedicated teaching staff challenges the children with well-planned activities, Bible stories, application and scripture memorization.

We also offer Kidz Worship, a children’s service where our primary goal is to lead kids to a relationship with Jesus. Knowing that kids can have fun while learning, this is done through a highly interactive time of media, stories, skits and games.

Concord Kidz Choir provides opportunity for elementary-aged children to serve and begin to realize that they are an important part of the church. The choir sings throughout the year in the adult worship services and joins the adult choir in celebration services at Easter and Christmas. Each spring they perform a children’s musical with songs, choreography and drama.

Throughout the school year we offer a Christian scouting program known as Caravan. The children are in small groups according to grade level, and the activities are geared toward both learning and fun. While learning biblical truths and practical lessons, it’s a wonderful opportunity for kids to connect with kids!

Children are given opportunities to reach out through various outreach projects which are interwoven into our Sunday and Wednesday programs. At Thanksgiving they put together shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. At Christmas they participate in a toy drive and party for underprivileged children. Throughout the year they are involved in giving to World Missions.

There are many special events to look forward to throughout the year. These would include Fall Festival, Trunk or Treat, Thanksgiving Celebration, Jesus’ Birthday Party, Valentine’s Party and an Egg Hunt & Character Breakfast.

Summer time at CCC is one big event all summer long with Wacky Wednesdays. Water wars, food fights and treasure hunts are just a part of the wacky way we reinforce Bible lessons. A highlight is Wet Wacky Wednesdays with our giant water slide. We also hold Block Parties in neighborhoods throughout the area to share the fun with kids in the community.
